Wright house saved

After months of being threatened with demolition by its owners, a Phoenix house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright was sold for $2.3 million. The buyer, who wished to remain anonymous, has every intention to preserve the house.

Formerly owned by Wright’s granddaughters, who sold it four years ago, the house is located in the Arcadia neighborhood, in a lot overlooking Phoenix’s Camelback Mountains, which can be seen from most of its rooms. The design is very similar to the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
