The supercalifragilisticexpialidocious art of Rob Hefferan

His bio reads like this, “Born in 1968 in Warrington, Cheshire, Rob Hefferan is an exceptionally talented figurative artist.” Some might disagree with this statement. I, however, do not.

What is the purpose of this level of realism in painting? You could take a photograph, right? Maybe it’s a statement. The amount of work that goes into creating this kind of detail is, in itself, a message. When a work of art is so close to life itself, it somehow allows the viewer the pleasure of being transported to some place else. At least that’s how I view things.

Then again, Rob Hefferan’s works are simply beautiful.

You can find more of his artworks on his website here.
